Manganese phosphating surface conditioner PA-L2
Surface Modifier PA-L2
1. Introduction
This product is a powder surface modifier, specially prepared for the manganese phosphating of iron and steel. It can eliminate the problem of coarse crystals of phosphating film caused by acid rust removal or strong alkali degreasing, and the surface modifier can accelerate the formation of fine and dense phosphating film.
2. Operation overview:
Concentration of prepared tank |
0.6-0.8% |
Temperature |
40~50℃ |
Treatment time |
at least 1min |
Stir continuously with a stirrer to suspend the surface agent in the tank.
3. Process flow:
Before manganese phosphating, the workpiece must be cleaned and surface adjusted. The usual steps are as follows:
degreasing—water washing—water washing ---surface modifier --manganese phosphating —water washing
4. Equipment:
Tank equipment is available in medium carbon steel, agitators are available in 300 series stainless steel, and heat exchangers are available in 316 stainless steel.
5. Preparation before surface modifier:
(1) Degreasing: All metals must be free of grease and other contaminants before surface adjustment.
(2) Washing with water: After washing, it needs to be thoroughly rinsed with water. Water below 50°C is more favorable for rinsing; the water must overflow continuously to avoid pollution.
6. Usage method of surface modifier:
The bath temperature must be kept at 40~50℃. It is best to add continuously, because the surface modifier will fail over time. According to the situation Renew tank solution or add new surface modifier . Generally, the tank is changed once a week, and it is best to renew the tank every day.
The surface conditioning tank does not need to be analyzed, it will fail over time. When the phosphating film is not uniform and fine enough, 1 kg of surface modifier PA-L2 should be added per 1000 liters of tank liquid. If adding two or three times of phosphating film is still not ideal, a new tank must be replaced.
According to our experience, such an addition cycle can always obtain the ideal phosphating film, and the addition at the beginning of each shift will maintain better.
